As Environmental Services Lead, you will own and govern the D365 environment, security, and platform strategy across the organisation. You will be accountable for ensuring the environment is secure, compliant, scalable, and aligned to enterprise standards, while providing leadership across BAU operations and transformation programmes.
You will operate as the senior authority for D365 environment and security design, driving continuous service improvement, leading cross-functional teams, and ensuring alignment with Microsoft best practice and ABF governance. This role also plays a key part in the migration of legacy ERP systems to D365, ensuring a controlled, risk-managed, and operationally sustainable transition.

- Key Accountabilities
- Own the D365 Environment Strategy and Operating Model, ensuring alignment with ABF standards, Microsoft best practice, and audit requirements.
- Act as the design authority for environment, security, and release governance, providing clear direction across all D365 platforms.
- Lead and develop the Environment team and third-party partners, ensuring clear accountability, performance management, and delivery against strategic objectives.
- Define and govern security frameworks, including role-based access, segregation of duties (SoD), audit readiness, and compliance assurance.
- Provide end-to-end oversight of environment lifecycle management, including provisioning, optimisation, decommissioning, and cost control.
- Own release management governance across D365 LCS, PPAC, and Azure DevOps, ensuring robust controls and minimal business disruption.
- Lead major environment and platform initiatives, including migrations, upgrades, and large-scale changes, with clear risk and dependency management.
- Act as the senior escalation point for complex cross-environment incidents, driving timely resolution and root cause elimination.
- Establish and maintain service standards, runbooks, documentation, and knowledge frameworks, ensuring audit readiness and operational consistency.
- Drive continuous improvement and automation, improving stability, performance, and supportability of the D365 landscape.
- Provide strategic technical leadership across D365-integrated applications, influencing roadmaps and architectural decisions.
- Engage with senior stakeholders to ensure clear alignment between business priorities, platform capability, and service delivery.
