We are looking for motivated and hardworking Bakery Operatives to join our fast‑paced production team in Newcastle‑Under‑Lyme. Location: Allied Bakeries, Newcastle‑under‑Lyme
Salary: Starting at £28,791.60 increasing to £32,172.07 after successful completion of training
Shifts: Average 42 hours per week. This role operates 12‑hour rotating shifts, on a varied shift pattern, including night work and weekends.
What You Need To Know
- Engage in the Safety First culture and compliance with AB internal policies and procedures
- Maintain high standards of hygiene, safety and housekeeping
- Monitor product quality and consistency
- Support the efficient operation of production lines
- Take part in training and development activities, including 1-to-1 sessions
This is a physically demanding role in a fast‑paced factory environment, so resilience, reliability, and a positive attitude are essential.
The Right Person
- Good awareness of Health, Safety and Food Safety
- Basic numeracy and literacy skills, including record keeping and following instructions
- A positive can‑do attitude, with a willingness to learn
- Understanding and application of food hygiene/GMP/(ABSS standards)
- Understanding of baking process
