Key Accountabilities
- Leading and inspiring the hygiene team to maintain outstanding site hygiene standards every day.
- Supervising, coaching, and developing colleagues, ensuring procedures are followed, skills are strengthened, and performance continuously improves.
- Owning the hygiene schedule, monitoring progress, and making proactive improvements where needed.
- Representing the team during customer visits and audits, showcasing our commitment to quality and compliance.
- Driving continuous improvement, identifying opportunities to elevate processes, efficiency, materials usage and equipment care.
- Reviewing hygiene KPIs and resource levels to ensure the team is set up for success.
- Supporting recruitment and day‑to‑day colleague management, aligned to agreed budgets.
- Championing a strong health & safety culture across all activities.
- Promoting a high‑performance environment, setting clear expectations and nurturing a culture of excellence.
The Right Person
- IOSH Managing Safely (completed or willingness to complete).
- Proven experience in leading, motivating, and positively influencing teams, with a track record in cultural or behavioural change.
- Strong understanding of hygiene processes and systems, and how they impact quality, efficiency, materials, and equipment.
- The ability to stay calm under pressure, prioritise effectively, and deliver results in a fast‑paced environment.
- Excellent communication and influencing skills at all levels of operations.
- Confident IT skills and comfortable with reporting and systems.
- A food‑related degree (or similar) is desirable, but strong experience in hygiene management is equally valuable.
