Overview Of Role
Company: Allied Bakeries
Location: Stockport
Salary: £30,000.00+ per annum
There is currently a fantastic opportunity for a Traywash Operative to join our hygiene team at Allied Bakeries, Stockport. Working within a team of 3 people the successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the bakery is continuously supplied with baskets for our finished products to be packed into. The working pattern is a 4 week rotating shift pattern consisting of day and night shifts. Shifts are 12 hours long and the working weeks averages 42 hours per week.
Key Accountabilities
Safety always come first at Allied Bakeries, so we are looking for someone to lead by example in ensuring that Health and Safety is out number one priorty, and someone who is able to engage others to think and behave safely at all times.
Key Duties Will Include
- Management of basket stocks and stock rotation.
- Assist in the unloading of baskets from trailers and rigids as they enter the site and rest at the dock area.
- Take responsibility for the basket supply tracks from Traywash through to the bakery with the manufacturing team.
- Regular removal and disposal of waste from bins from beside the S bend trash removal system.
- Communicate with despatch and logistics when assistance and support is required.
- Highlight basket supply issues to the relevant departments as soon as you are aware of a problem.
- Report any problems or issues during the night shifts immediately to the Manufacturing FLM.
- Operate within all work instructions and procedures.
- Raise any suggestions for improvements with the hygiene FLM’s and Manager and take corrective actions as required.
- Tidy as you go, ensuring work area is tidy and safe and meets the agreed standards in hygiene and housekeeping. Undertake regular cleaning of equipment in compliance with internal standards.
- Pest control awareness.
- Carry out duties with due care and attention, using tools provided in a responsible and safe manner. Report any damage or unsafe tools/machinery to the Hygiene FLM ‘s or Manager
- Wear and use all protective clothing as required.
- Ensure there is always 2 staff at the traywash at all times.
The Right Person
- The successful candidate must hold an FLT counterbalance licence.
- Experience of working within an FMCG or similar fast-paced industry would be desirable.
- It is essential you are a team player and a good communicator and are able to remain calm and focused when working under pressure.
- Able to work well on your own and use your time effectively to ensure all work is completed in the allocated time.
