We’re looking for an experienced Transport Coordinator (Internally known as Logistics Coordinator) to join our fast‑paced transport operation at Allied Bakeries in Stockport, North West.
Annual Salary: £39,330
Shift Pattern: 4 on – 4 off rotating days and nights 6am–6pm / 6pm–6am.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leading and motivating your shift team to hit daily targets.
- Ensuring a safe working environment and promoting a strong safety culture.
- Supporting the Front Line Manager and stepping up when needed.
- Managing day‑to‑day shift operations and resolving issues quickly.
- Building strong relationships across Despatch, VMU, and other teams.
- Carrying out safety and performance audits.
- Ensuring full legal and regulatory compliance.
- Communicating clearly and positively with drivers and colleagues.
- Using your knowledge of EU driver regulations and fleet compliance to support smooth operations.

Requirements:
- Experience in a Coordinator, Supervisor or Managerial position.
- Experience in a fast‑paced environment – ideally in transport or logistics.
- Confident communicator who can lead, motivate and engage others.
- Organised, adaptable, and calm under pressure.
- Comfortable with multitasking and prioritising on the go.
- Flexible and reliable – ready to support the team when needed.
- Strong IT skills – SAP experience is a bonus.
Compensation and Benefits:
- Competitive salary: £39,330 per year.
- 24 days annual leave including Bank Holidays.
