We operate a Grocery Service Centre near Liverpool, supporting brands such as Kingsmill, Pataks, Blue Dragon, Jordans, Ryvita and Silver Spoon. We deliver shared service activities across customer services, consumer care, finance, payroll, HR and IS.
Overview of Role
Work as part of the Grocery Services Centre Technical Services Team, providing technical service activities that meet customer expectations. Support and engage with local and wider ABF teams to continuously improve the environment and deliver a good customer service experience.
Key Accountabilities
- Ensure asset management processes are followed and implemented, meeting all audit requirements.
- Maintain and report on stock levels to ensure continued good customer service.
- Ensure devices are available and built to SLA to support all supported business units.
- Administer desktop and infrastructure applications, including accurate licensing allocation, installation, and reporting.
- Act as key contact and resolver for local site infrastructure issues, providing liaison with ABF BTS and acting as point of escalation when necessary.
- Manage the assignment of licences across the device estate and work with the Tech Services Team Lead and IS Finance to maintain correct levels.
- Work on technical projects to deliver to required project standards and complete all allocated tasks as per specified requirements.
The Right Person
- Highly analytical with strong insight and the ability to maintain an objective view.
- Strongly motivated to solve problems and experienced in report and process documentation creation.
- Able to take responsibility for and adapt to changing priorities in a dynamic environment, with the ability to multi-task and be proactive in addressing issues and requests.
- Results-oriented, helping the team prioritise work and using seniority to remove roadblocks.
- A good communicator and listener.
- Understanding of best practice frameworks such as ITIL.
- Good knowledge of IT infrastructure (desktops, laptops, etc.).
- Experience in a Technical Service or similar role.
- Proven ability to work independently while managing and prioritising own workload.
- Reliable and flexible team player, able to engage and work with other departments and functions.
- Full UK driving licence required.
