Engineering Team Leader in Stoke-on-Trent

Join our team as an Engineering Team Leader at Allied Bakeries, part of Associated British Foods plc. We are looking for an experienced leader to manage the Maintenance department in our bakery located in Stoke (Newcastle‑under‑Lyme).

Overview

📍 Location: Stoke (Newcastle‑under‑Lyme), Midlands
🕙 Hours: 4 on 4 off – 2 days, 2 nights (12‑hour shifts)
💰 Salary: £56,368.11

What You’ll Be Doing

• Lead the shift team to identify and deliver continuous improvement initiatives.
• Perform proactive and reactive maintenance and repairs to the plant and site services.
• Focus on safe working practices and site performance KPIs, including OEE and CCOs.
• Diagnose and correct automation, electrical and mechanical issues to resolve breakdown situations.
• Ensure the engineering strategy is delivered consistently.
• Deliver turn‑key improvement projects on time and within budget.
• Drive the performance of the Engineering function through effective team leadership, setting standards and developing the engineers.

What We’re Looking For

• Team player with excellent communication skills, able to train, coach and support operators and engineers.
• Higher National Certificate (HNC) in electrical, automation or multiskilled engineering discipline is desirable.
• Enthusiastic, motivated and passionate about continuous improvement.
• Flexible and cooperative to meet business needs.
