Job Details

  • Location: Stoke (Newcastle-under-Lyme)
  • Hours: 48 hours per week (5 days including a Saturday, 2 am starts)
  • Salary: £37,956.37

Role Overview

We are seeking a qualified Class 2 Delivery Driver to drive Company vehicles and deliver products safely and efficiently.

Key Accountabilities

  • Comply with all legal requirements for HGV Drivers.
  • Deliver and collect products from customers, suppliers and other organisations.
  • Maintain high standards of safety, courtesy and compliance with the Highway Code.
  • Apply SAFED driving techniques to maximise safety and fuel efficiency.
  • Follow Company delivery and collection procedures, including bulk order load, order adjustments and health and safety.
  • Adhere to Company standards for customer service.
  • Report any variations to product quality and service levels to the FLM.
  • Account for Company products and equipment (bread baskets, pallets, store returns, buffer stock).
  • Comply with all Company requirements for driver training and communications.
  • Carry out duties such as unloading, refuelling and washing vehicles according to standard operating procedures.

The Right Person

  • Experienced drivers, ideally with food distribution or retail logistics experience, holding an up‑to‑date CPC card.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Commitment to health, safety and well‑being, and ability to work as part of a team.
