Our Grocery Service Centre, based near Liverpool, is a hub for transactional activity across multiple ABF companies within the ABF Grocery division. Supporting some of our well-known brands such as Kingsmill, Pataks, Blue Dragon, Jordans, Ryvita and Silver Spoon, amongst others. We deliver Shared Service activities across a wide range of disciplines including Customer Services, Consumer Care, Finance, Payroll, HR and IS.

Overview Of Role
Location: Stockport
Reporting to: Quality Systems Manager
Salary: £33,000.00 pa
Hours: Monday to Friday, 42 hours/week (some flexibility required)

We\'re on the lookout for a Quality Auditor who\'s ready to roll up their sleeves and help us deliver safe, delicious products to millions of customers. This is your chance to be part of a company that values excellence, innovation and teamwork.
We protect the consumers from harm by implementing, monitoring and challenging standards of food safety enabling and supporting our site teams to produce safe wholesome products.
We protect our business by being legally compliant, providing due diligence records which protect our business and our brand reputation from bad publicity, fines & penalties.
We support our site teams in maintaining our approved supplier status by working to customer standards ensuring products are made to spec in a food safe environment, whilst minimising costs without compromising quality or food safety.
Key Accountabilities
- Maintenance of the traceability, Food Safety and Quality records and booklets.
- Data capture and trending of KPIs including quality results.
- Monitoring of quality via offline QAS assessments and trending of assessment data, including communication of trends to operatives via notice boards.
- Food safety & quality systems auditing
- Organise daily QAS panels including the collation/processing of the associated product performance data.
- Verification of measuring instruments across all plants i.e. metal detectors, check weighers, standalone weighing scales, temperature probes, weights etc.
- Completion of shelf life evaluation.
- Preparation and verification of production paperwork.
- Completion of glass/perspex audits across the Site.
- Sampling & assessing agar plates and dip slides
- Compilation of food safety and quality compliance stats, including distribution to manufacturing teams
- Verification of colleague personal hygiene standards via hand swabs
- Sampling and packaging of products in accordance with central requirements
- Verification of product packaging against library standards (Dragonfly)
- At least 12 months’ experience in a food manufacturing environment
- Strong IT skills (Microsoft Suite)
- Confident communicator across all levels
- Level 1 Food Hygiene qualification
- A methodical, detail-driven approach to tasks
- A team player with energy, enthusiasm, and a passion for quality
