Our Grocery Service Centre, based near Liverpool, is a hub for transactional activity across multiple ABF companies within the ABF Grocery division.

We deliver Shared Service activities across a wide range of disciplines including Customer Services, Consumer Care, Finance, Payroll, HR and IS.

Work as part of the Grocery Services Centre (GSC) Technical Services Team providing technical service activities ensuring customer expectations are fully met.

Support and engage with local and wider ABF teams to continuously improve the environment to ensure the delivery of a good customer service experience.

Based in a small team dedicated to providing device, technical asset management and licence support along with provision of relevant reporting and administration.

The role includes working closely with the Business Technology Services (BTS) team who control our central infrastructure function to managing the service across our supported business units and users and will require occasional travel to sites to provide support.

  • Key Accountabilities
  • Ensure asset management processes are followed and implemented ensuring all audit requirements are met.
  • Maintain and report on stock levels to ensure continued good customer service.
  • Ensure devices are available and built to SLA thus ensuring good customer service to all supported business units.
  • Assist with issues where possible and provide additional liaison with ABF BTS, ultimately acting as the point of escalation if needed to ensure the issues are resolved.
  • Ensure management of desktop and infrastructure applications including accurate licensing allocation, installation, and reporting.
  • Engage with the relevant teams within Grocery Service Centre and ABF BTS to drive improvements and quality of service.
  • Ensure the correct assignment of licences across the device estate and work with the Tech Services Team Lead and IS Finance to ensure correct levels are maintained.
  • Work on technical projects to ensure delivery to the required project standards and all allocated tasks are completed as per the specified requirements.
  • Continue to support the control structures for IT and ensure best practice standards are being immersed into IT processes.
  • Support the approach of ensuring all team members, identify and deliver continuous improvement activities.

  • Proven experience in enterprise asset management, including asset lifecycle management, stock control, reconciliation, audit, and compliance.
  • Hands‑on experience using Microsoft Intune for device provisioning, configuration, policy/application deployment, compliance, and management.
  • Working knowledge of Active Directory, including user and group administration, permissions, access management, and account support.
  • Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, including hardware, mobile devices, and networking fundamentals.
  • Good awareness of ITIL or other best practice IT service management frameworks.
  • Strong customer service and stakeholder communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritise workload, and deliver to a high standard.
  • Flexible and collaborative approach, with the ability to work effectively across teams and departments.
  • Willingness to undertake occasional site travel.
