We are looking for a Despatch Team Member to join our Gateshead site as part of a busy, fast‑paced logistics operation. The role focuses on accurate picking, loading, and despatch of products, ensuring safety, quality and team collaboration.
Key Accountabilities
- Accurately pick, assemble and load products onto the correct vehicles.
- Minimise product damage and ensure only quality products are despatched.
- Check goods into despatch from manufacturing and maintain effective stock rotation.
- Highlight shortages or issues that may affect customer orders.
- Work independently and as part of a team to meet distribution deadlines.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment in line with 'Clean As You Go' standards.
- Safely operate forklift trucks and other MHE, where trained and authorised.
- Report equipment faults, hazards or food safety risks promptly.
- Follow site procedures, training and safety guidelines.
- Contribute ideas to improve despatch processes, product quality or efficiency.
