Our Grocery Service Centre, based near Liverpool, is a hub for transactional activity across multiple ABF companies within the ABF Grocery division. We deliver Shared Service activities across a wide range of disciplines including Customer Services, Consumer Care, Finance, Payroll, HR and IS.

Overview Of Role
Location: Allied Bakeries, Newcastle-under-Lyme.
Salary: Starting at ÂŁ27,396.61 increasing to ÂŁ31,084.13 after training.
Shifts: Shifts either 4 on 4 off nights or 4 on 4 off (2 days/2 nights).
Join Our Team : We are seeking Bakery Operatives to join our production team.
What you need to know: You will assist with the efficient operation of the plant to produce high quality bread whilst maintaining high standards of hygiene, housekeeping and safety. You will continuously monitor quality standards, reporting or rectifying problems. This is a demanding role in a busy and heavily audited factory environment.
Key Accountabilities
Engage in the Safety First culture and compliance with AB internal policies and procedures
To deliver product quality to required standards
To contribute to the delivery of a production plan
Ensure own development and training needs are identified. Participate in the proactive environment of learning (1:1’s)
To actively participate and contribute in the sharing of “Best Practice” within manufacturing

What We’re Looking For:
Ability to demonstrate a good level of Health and Food Safety awareness Numerical, reading and information recording skills.
A genuine enthusiasm for food manufacturing coupled with a resilient and positive attitude is essential due to the nature of the role.
Advantageous
Understanding and application of food hygiene/GMP/(ABSS standards)
Understanding of baking process
Basic Food Hygiene Certificate IOSH or equivalent
