Role Description
The Calibration Technician will perform day-to-day calibration, verification, and adjustment of a variety of Electrical and Electronic test and measurement instruments in an on-site laboratory environment located in South Wales.
This full-time role includes executing calibration procedures, documenting results, preparing certificates, and maintaining accurate records in accordance with company and industry standards.
The technician will inspect and test equipment for performance issues, carry out basic maintenance and repair tasks, and escalade complex faults when necessary.
The role involves working closely with colleagues to prioritize workload, ensure timely turnaround for customer equipment, and support continuous improvement of laboratory processes and quality systems.
The technician will also follow health and safety guidelines, keep work areas organized, and assist with equipment inventory and asset management.
Qualifications
- Strong skills in calibration and instrumentation, with the ability to apply established procedures to a range of test and measurement devices.
- Laboratory skills, including safe handling of equipment, adherence to quality standards, and accurate recording of test data.
- Experience working with test equipment, including setup, operation, and routine checks to verify performance.
- Troubleshooting skills for identifying faults, diagnosing issues, and performing basic repairs or adjustments.
