Allied Access are looking to recruit an experienced and commercially minded individual to join our team as Commercial Manager. This is a varied role that will suit somebody with a strong background in scaffolding estimating, quantity surveying, and commercial management who is looking to take ownership of the commercial side of a growing business.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Preparing accurate and competitive scaffolding tenders
- Reviewing drawings, specifications, and tender documentation
- Carrying out site visits where required
- Pricing labour, materials, transport, and equipment
- Managing variations, valuations, and final accounts
- Monitoring project costs and commercial performance
- Maintaining and developing relationships with new and existing clients
- Supporting the business in securing new opportunities and repeat work
- Working closely with contracts managers and operational teams
- Maintaining pricing schedules and commercial records
- Assisting with contractual and quantity surveying duties throughout project delivery
Requirements:
- Previous experience within the scaffolding or access industry
- Experience in estimating and commercial management
- Good understanding of quantity surveying duties and contract administration
- Strong knowledge of scaffolding systems and pricing structures
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings
- Good communication and negotiation skills
- Commercial awareness and attention to detail
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and general office software
Desirable:
- Quantity Surveying or Construction-related qualification
- CISRS or scaffolding-related qualifications
- Experience with both tube & fitting and system scaffolding
- Business development or client-facing experience
