Allica exists for the half a million or so established SMEs with typically 5 to 100 employees. These SMEs are a crucial pillar of the UK’s prosperity - representing more than a quarter of all turnover and jobs - yet are increasingly neglected by traditional high street banks.
Our Distribution team at Allica have grown rapidly over the last 4 years since the acquisition of the AIB GB UK SME customer portfolio, expanding to give a Relationship Manager presence for established SMEs all across the UK. They are responsible for the development and execution of the commercial strategy for the bank, generating profitable opportunities from supporting our customers.
Our vision is to reimagine Relationship Banking for established SMEs, through the very best people and digital tools. We don’t pretend to have all the answers yet, and you will play a role in shaping our new offering. The direct asset finance team are early in their journey but are growing all the time, the successful candidate will be as excited as we are to continue building and expanding this offering for established SMEs.
Role Description
Reporting to the Senior Manager, this role will support the delivery of Allica’s Asset Finance product direct to customers. You will deliver a professional relationship management service to customers by providing an exemplary level of customer service to assist in maximising value to Allica, and customers.
You will be the first point of contact for all inbound Asset Finance enquiries and will work closely with a team of locally based Relationship Managers to ensure that all customers receive exemplary service. You will be an expert on all things Allica Bank Asset Finance, feeding back to product teams on how we can improve from customer insights, and making sure that the Relationship Teams are fully up to speed on the latest offerings.
Principal Accountabilities:
- Building and relationship managing a portfolio of Asset Finance customers, driving income in line with monthly, quarterly and annual targets.
- Handling inbound calls and resolving issues for existing customers.
- Building and developing your own network of customers, with an expectation to originate business for the bank through cold outreach and regular networking.
- Providing cover and support on Asset Finance to Relationship Managers via telephone and email.
- Rolling out targeted marketing campaigns and managing new to bank prospects via telephone and email.
- Owning the customer service provided to ensure excellent service at all times for all customers, potential customers and professional counterparties.
- Reporting of Key Business Indicators.
- Identifying Early Warning Indicators and following the correct internal process to manage these.
- Managing conversations with Credit and appropriate management of customer relationships.
- Working closely and collaboratively with all areas of Allica to drive the effective delivery of the Bank’s annual lending budget.
- Establishing and actively managing objectives and a personal development plan.
- Ensuring personal conduct and Treating Customers Fairly (TCF) is front and centre in everything that you do.
- Through a marketing plan, develop and maintain effective relationships with key business Introducers and professional networks.
Personal Attributes & Experience:
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with evidence of proven career progression in business development within the Asset Finance market.
- Proven Introducer (non-broker) relationships and relationship management skills.
- Knowledge of Asset Finance products and SME businesses.
- Ability to structure new Asset Finance lending proposals and write credit applications.
- Ability to analyse and review financial accounts and associated information.
- Knowledge and understanding of CRM.
- Excellent time management and organisation skills to manage multiple workstreams.
- A curious mind, keen to find ways to improve and develop our offering through experience and regular customer feedback.
