Role Description

The purpose of the Completions Officer role is to ensure the best possible customer experience for Allica's lending products from Offer stage through to loan drawdown and completion. Working closely with our Business Development/Relationship Managers, our legal and valuation panels and our Underwriting teams you will be responsible for a portfolio of lending cases, managing all relevant activity to progress the case efficiently and effectively through to completion.

Principal Accountabilities

  • Deliver post-sanction administration to Commercial Mortgages, ensuring timely release of communications, legal and valuation instructions and payments to support the bank's ethos of fast, high-quality service.
  • Responsible for satisfying Conditions Precedent to the Mortgage, supporting internal and external stakeholders to drive completions.
  • Managing a pipeline of cases to ensure adherence to the team's service level agreements and quality expectations.
  • Maintain good working relationships with all legal and valuation panel partners to ensure smooth and timely exchange of correspondence and communication.
  • Build and maintain relationships with core internal stakeholders; Underwriting and Business Development Managers being key.
  • Maintain clear and accurate records for each case, including clear sanction audit trail, for MI and monitoring.
  • Ensure compliance with Bank's policies, procedures and guidelines together with all appropriate regulatory and statutory requirements, implementing actions to protect the Bank's business at all times.
  • Communicate relevant information to team members, senior management and other interested parties ensuring essential features of the situation are understood, enabling informed decisions to be taken where appropriate.
  • Maintain and update customer records, including data entry into the Core Banking system.
  • Assist Operations team and other departments as and when directed.
  • Support wider lending teams, which may include cross skilling and working across Asset Finance, Non-Property backed lending, and unsecured lending.

Personal Attributes & Experience

  • A strong customer service ethic: Experience of delivering a high standard of customer experience in a fast paced environment.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills developed from a Commercial Mortgage based background.
  • Knowledge of the commercial environment and lending pipeline management.
  • A good level of financial and commercial awareness.
  • A good understanding of Conduct and Treating Customers Fairly requirements relevant to Credit Operations.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, along with strong relationship management skills as the role works closely with a number of internal and external stakeholders.
