Role Description
We are seeking a strategic and hands‑on Commercial Officer to lead our Invoice Finance product. This is a foundational leadership role where you will own the P&L, define our go‑to‑market strategy, and scale a high‑performing commercial team, while leveraging Allica's wider existing distribution capabilities. You will balance hands‑on deal execution with team leadership, personally closing major contracts while mentoring your team and refining our sales process. Your responsibility spans the entire commercial journey:
- Acquiring new clients
- Creating a culture of high performance through clear objectives and KPI tracking
- Building trusted relationships at all seniority levels of prospective clients – from strategic C‑level to operational stakeholders
- Leading and scaling the Account Management team to develop and execute initiatives that boost customer retention, streamline operations, and elevate client satisfaction
- Identifying and capitalising on new growth opportunities
- Acting as a player/coach who can lead and mentor junior members of the team
- Driving overall target delivery
- Setting up scalable internal sales processes to ensure we can deliver against our ambitious goals and continuously improve for high efficiency
Principal Accountabilities
- Develop and execute the go‑to‑market commercial strategy and develop a deep understanding of our target customers and markets
- Own and be responsible for hitting revenue targets and the P&L for the Invoice Finance division
Personal Attributes & Experience
- Relevant experience in Invoice Finance Lending
- Experience in a Head Of/Director/Lead SME commercial sales role
- A strong network in the broker and introducer market
- A proven track record of owning and delivering against revenue targets in a go‑to‑market role
- Understands risk frameworks and the credit risk associated with invoice finance
- A strong people manager, mentor and coach with experience in hiring great talent
- Highly organised, with solid process‑building and project‑management skills
- Enthusiasm about working in a fast‑paced, team‑oriented, mission‑led environment
- Ability to be in London 1‑2 days per week (majority of time expected on the road, broker and customer‑facing)
