Role Description
The Business Development Associate will be responsible for supporting and assisting the Regional Lead with the origination, structuring and completion of new to bank opportunities. During this process, we gather a considerable amount of information which needs to be analysed and presented to the relevant approval authorities for support. The Associate is responsible for ensuring that the information is collated, organised and presented accurately in the credit proposal. Throughout the new client journey, the Associate will support the interaction between the bank, the prospective client and professional advisers and plays an important supporting role alongside the Regional Lead. In addition to the above, the role will also assist with maintaining up to date internal reporting and pipeline management.
Principal Accountabilities
- Collation, organisation and presentation of transaction-related information, including financials.
- Working with a range of financial information including year-end accounts, management accounts and forecasts and presenting these using Allica templates.
- Maintaining accurate and current pipeline records using Allica CRM system.
- Engagement with other team members to ensure efficient progress of new business opportunities as they transition to completion and into relationship management.
- Complying with all mandatory policies and develop and adhere to operational procedures to maintain a strong internal control environment.
Personal Attributes & Experience
- An ambitious and naturally proactive individual, eager to contribute to the success of a small, developing team. Customer focus, attention to detail, and strong initiative will be key personal attributes.
- Able to interpret detailed financial information including balance sheet and cash forecasting, assess funding requirements and model the impact of sensitivities to such forecasts.
- You will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build and maintain strong working relationships.
- Desire to help the bank and its customers achieve their goals and ambitions.
- Experience of working competently with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
- Experience of working with different business functions to specific deadlines, with strong organisational skills.

- Demonstrated ability to deliver meaningful results and drive improvements through a range of experiences and projects.
- Knowledge of finance and/or experience engaging with SME clients or stakeholders.
- Comfortable working independently in a remote or hybrid working setup, with strong communication and self-management skills.
