About Allica Bank
Allica is the UK’s fastest growing company - and the fastest-growing financial technology (Fintech) firm ever. Our purpose is to help established SMEs, one of the last major underserved opportunities in Fintech. Established SMEs are the backbone of local communities - representing over a third of our economy - yet have been largely neglected both by traditional high street banks and modern fintech providers.
Marketing at Allica
We are a small but mighty team responsible for telling Allica’s story to build trust, drive growth and bring our product and purpose to life for our key audiences: established business owners, brokers and accountants. Our team looks after brand marketing, communications, partnerships and includes our in house creative studio.
Role Description
We’re looking for a mid weight multi-disciplinary designer with a strong motion design spike. You’ll be an all rounder who is as comfortable bringing our distinctive brand assets to life in video, social, and digital formats as you are designing print, presentations, and events. Working across a range of projects and campaigns, you’ll collaborate closely with the wider Marketing and Growth teams to create stand out, effective design work that pushes Allica’s distinctive brand identity and delivers measurable impact. This role is ideal for someone with strong motion chops who also enjoys rolling their sleeves up across a range of design briefs.
Principal Accountabilities
- Designing across a broad mix of formats: digital, social, OOH, video, print, presentations, events, sponsorship activations, and merchandise.
- Bringing concepts to life through thoughtful motion design where appropriate (campaign assets, social content, product moments).
- Creating high-quality design assets in Figma and Adobe Creative Suite.
- Developing and executing creative concepts alongside the Marketing team.
- Working within and helping evolve Allica’s brand to include motion guidelines and ensure consistency, distinctiveness, and cut-through.
- Managing multiple briefs simultaneously and delivering work that is on brief, on brand, and on time.
- Collaborating with copywriters, marketing managers, and external suppliers (e.g., production partners, printers).
- Contributing inspiration, ideas, and fresh creative thinking to continually raise our output.
Personal Attributes & Experience
- A solid motion design capability and comfortable adding motion craft to static assets.
- Strong foundational design skills across digital and print, with the ability to produce polished, distinctive work.
- High proficiency in Figma and the Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, After Effects, Premiere).
- A versatile portfolio that shows creativity, craft, and range.
- Experience working within brand guidelines and pushing creative boundaries.
- Highly organised, adaptable, and comfortable in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities.
- A collaborative team player who enjoys working closely with marketers, writers, and external partners.
- Experience in financial services or a fast-growth business (preferred but not essential).
