Department Description
Allica Cashflow Finance delivers lending to meet the funding needs of growing established, profitable businesses who do not have tangible collateral available to offer in support. Our growing team of specialists share a common focus on structuring funding solutions for those clients and delivering an exceptional relationship experience. During the origination process, we gain a deep understanding of each business. This informs both facility structuring and risk management as well as providing the foundation of our ongoing relationship.
Role Description
The Cashflow Finance Relationship Manager will be responsible as the primary point of contact for a portfolio of clients, delivering a close working relationship based on a deep understanding of each client's business. In addition to the service and relationship aspects, the role will also have responsibility for the ongoing financial and collateral information provided by each client and ensuring management of and reporting on the credit risk for each. Beyond the relationship management aspect of the role, as a more experienced member of the team, the role holder will have responsibility for contributing to the development of other team members by acting as a point of reference for deal structuring and technical matters.
Principal Accountabilities
- The main point of contact with, and responsibility for, a portfolio of clients.
- Supporting clients whilst also being responsible for risk management in respect of those clients.
- Working collaboratively with the business development team to ensure that new clients are onboarded and transitioned to the RM portfolio in a seamless manner.
- Responsible for ensuring that all required client information is received in a timely manner, and compliantly saved, recorded and reviewed.
- Contribute to the production of monthly portfolio reports which provide an accurate and comprehensive summary of client financial performance, covenant compliance and collateral overview.
- Responsible for ensuring that any new or increased CF client risks are escalated where appropriate and without delay. Such escalation will detail the issue, cause(s) and recommended course of action.
- Engagement with other relevant functional areas of the bank, particularly Risk and Operations to ensure effective collaboration and awareness of changes in policies/processes.
- Working closely and collaboratively with all areas of Allica to ensure a seamless and professional service is always provided, and to provide ongoing direction as to where Allica's product and software development should focus to provide greatest benefit to customers and efficiency over time.
- Be an advocate for the product with colleagues throughout the bank.
Personal Attributes & Experience
- A belief that there is an opportunity to build a significantly improved working capital lending solution to the target mid‐market and a desire to innovate through a hands‐on approach, working as part of a small team. Initiative and resilience will be key personal attributes.
- You will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to build and maintain strong working relationships.
- An understanding of working capital financing in the SME sector. Knowledge of facility structuring and documentation.
- Experience working within cashflow finance customers within the SME sector.
- Able to interpret detailed financial information including balance sheet and cash forecasting, assess funding requirements and model the impact of sensitivities to such forecasts.
- Strong credit and risk control, specifically around ongoing management and covenant compliance.
- You'll be able to demonstrate a track record of supporting clients through SME banking, and that colleagues trust and believe in you.
- You have experience in supporting a strong culture, through maintaining high standards and performance.
- A motivation and ability to identify improvements where possible and implement change for the benefit of the Growth Finance product.
