We have a fantastic opportunity to join our talented Claims Validation Team. In this role, you will ensure the quality of business written across our general portfolios by delivering internal and external systems and processes that validate risk and customer information at key points in the customer journey. You will also help create strategic competitive advantage by deploying class-leading fraud management practices.

This role can be based in any of our UK offices, with a preference for our Ditton Park office, and with the expectation to be on site two days a month.

Salary Information

Pay: Circa £30,000 per annum. Pay is based on relevant experience, skills for the role, and location. Salary is only one part of our total reward package.

About You

  • Carrying out fraud investigations on Animal Health (Pet and Equine) referrals from various internal and external sources, including but not limited to existing fraud systems, intelligence, and claims teams, to identify cases appropriate for investigation.
  • Managing a portfolio and overseeing the full end-to-end investigation process, from referral through to final outcome.
  • Handling correspondence and paperwork as necessary, maintaining communication with customers and third parties, providing updates to ensure next steps are understood and all communication is effective and accurate.
  • Recording values, costs, and trends accurately in line with the Fraud Database MI process to ensure business targets are measurable and intelligence remains accurate.
  • Working with frontline teams to build awareness and understanding of fraud risks, supporting the development of a strong first line of defence and providing coaching sessions across various parts of the business.
  • Sharing experience and knowledge with other investigators to improve overall capability within the team.
  • Supporting delivery of the Anti-Fraud Strategy by implementing improvements within the fraud-handling process.
  • Establishing current risk exposure and proactively identifying the most valuable fraud risks to pursue.
  • Monitoring and controlling existing fraud tools, researching and developing new ones, and reviewing outputs to ensure alignment with strategic objectives.
  • Building and maintaining strong industry relationships, representing Allianz at relevant meetings and focus groups, and using external intelligence to inform local strategy.

Essential Skills

  • A strong understanding of the end-to-end Claims processes and products.
  • Excellent customer service, relationship-building, and communication skills, with the ability to listen empathetically and adapt your style to achieve the best outcomes for customers and the business.
  • Strong investigative, analytical, and problem-solving abilities, supported by a logical thought process and attention to detail.
  • Effective organisational and time management skills to manage priorities efficiently.
  • A proactive, can-do attitude with a passion for learning and a commitment to fighting fraud and protecting the business.
  • Experience and knowledge of fraud prevention systems.
  • Familiarity with IFED processes.

Desirable Skills

  • Experience handling risk-related pet and/or equine insurance claims.
  • Experience working with loss adjusters.
  • Experience using generative AI tools, such as onsite webchat/chatbot systems and customer journey platforms.
