The Political Violence and Terrorism team at Allianz Commercial, is a specialist unit that provides expert risk assessment, underwriting, and insurance solutions for businesses exposed to political violence, terrorism, civil unrest, and war perils globally.
The team offers comprehensive coverage including standalone terrorism and sabotage insurance, strikes, riots and civil commotion (SRCC) insurance, and full political violence policies covering war on land, civil war, political subversion, and political intimidation.
Operating across more than 200 countries and territories through the Allianz Group network, the team delivers bespoke solutions - including property damage, business interruption, contingent business interruption, denial of access, event cancellation, and third-party terrorism liability - tailored to each client's unique risk footprint rather than a "one size fits all" approach.
The team also provides market-leading risk consulting, including analysis of geopolitical trends, social resilience, and emerging threats such as gray-zone sabotage, drone incursions, and lone-wolf terrorism, helping clients safeguard their people, property, and operations in an increasingly volatile world.

- Negotiate participation, pricing and terms and conditions with brokers. Proactively manage capacity.

- Proactively support acquisition of new business and retention of existing business.
- Positively represent Allianz Commercial externally to the market and encourage more junior team members to raise their own profile and that of the team.
- What You’ll Bring to the Role
- About 5 years’ proven experience in the PVT marketplace, either in underwriting or broking.
- Strong understanding of risk assessment, insurance program structure design, and contract wordings.
- Ideally CII/CPCU qualified or working towards it.
- Recognised relationships with clients and brokers at peer group level and well-established within your reference market.
- Excellent communication and influencing skills.
- Specialised understanding of regional/national PVT insurance markets and the competitor landscape.
- Ability to negotiate effectively achieving the best outcome for the portfolio while maintaining positive business relationships with your clients and brokers.
- Ability to leverage data and analytics to make business more efficient and effective.

- Ability to design, develop and implement consistent, robust wordings for contracts.
- You should be able to integrate AI-driven insights into your work to optimise outcomes and support broader organisational goals.
