What you do
The role is working in an international Product team within the Travel LoB, assisting with product function topics, especially focused on the Brokers business in the UK. The role takes care for the design of Travel products for Brokers, taking local needs of customers within the broker channel as well as technical limitations of ACM into consideration. Additional responsibilities include defining and designing the right commercial offers for our business partner/prospects in the broker channel.
In addition, this role is also supporting the Governance items of FCA especially for Brokers / MGAs. Also assisting with the roll out of Simplicity Master Products in the WELAM region and managing existing offers/products in the region in regard to Product design, Terms & Conditions, IPIDs and Product setup is relevant for the role.
Responsibilities
- Technical Product Design – Focus UK Brokers
- Evaluate opportunities and requests for new products as well as the enhancement of existing products.
- Harmonise the product range and ensure product development occurs in compliance with the Product Simplicity framework.
- Contribute to the Global Product Development process.
- Monitor the performance of products, adapting where relevant or decommissioning unsuccessful products.
- Product Governance – Focus UK Brokers
- Support the completion of the Consumer Duty, Fair Value Assessments and product monitoring for the UK and support the Product Oversight Governance processes.
- Prepare Policy Documents and support implementation
- Support the development of terms & conditions and IPIDs for new products.
- Provide localisation for UK within responsibility for the policy documents (T&C, IPIDs) in the region.
- Setup of commercial offers in APL (ACM markets).
- Support Sales – Commercial offer development – Focus on UK Brokers
- Define the right commercial offers using the internal Product Design Document (PDD) for new or existing business partner opportunities by taking market, distribution channel and customer needs into consideration.
- Provide the respective Product policy documents for the offers.
What you bring
- You ideally have a University degree in finance, business, economics, law or related field, or comparable education.
- You have at least 3 years of experience in Product or Underwriting with Broker experience.
- Knowledge of UK local insurance regulations including current issues & consumer protection law.
- Understanding and knowledge of product portfolio.
- Understanding underwriting in relevant area of business.
- Insurance T&Cs: contract drafting and interpretation experience.
- Know-how of internally developed systems applicable for Product.
