We are seeking a Senior PM / PM to join our Global High Yield team which is an integral part of Allianz Global Investors\’ Fixed Income platform.
The ideal candidate will have proven experience in managing US high yield credit, with a strong track record in overseeing active institutional and mutual fund assets, as well as demonstrated commercial capabilities, including client relationship management.
What you will do
• Take lead in managing US high yield investment process that is within the Global High Yield framework
• Take primary responsibility for taking active US HY risk, including screening and analysing new ideas, recommending investment decisions on US HY securities to portfolios where appropriate
• To be a named portfolio manager for suitable accounts and implement investment decisions in these portfolios and authorize orders
• Monitor portfolios\’ positioning, weights and risk analytics compared to benchmarks and targets. Recommend efficient risk management to other team members where appropriate
• Take initiative to collaborate and work closely with senior investors in other sectors and locations to assure that risk is balanced appropriately
• Interact with credit research team and related market participants to closely follow the US HY market
• Work with product specialists to support commercial activities such as creating internal investment-related materials, marketing presentations, reports for clients and responding to client requests
• Collaborate with distribution functions as a contact for North American clients and prospects
• Occasional travels to other office premises
What you bring
• Minimum 10 years\’ experience as a Portfolio Manager in High Yield Credit or relevant roles such as credit analyst, US HY experience essential
• Proven track record of managing active High Yield Credit products
• Proven experience or strong understanding of high yield covenants and liability management (LME) transactions
• University degree or equivalent qualification ideally combining qualitative and quantitative skills
• Excellent analytical and verbal communication skills
• Critical thinking and creative problem-solving skills
• Ability to seize the initiative and to logically solve tasks & problems
• CFA, MBA, ACA, CPA, LLB (or equivalent) preferable
• Fluency in English, other European language preferred
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Microsoft CoPilot
