As a Security Governance Officer within Protection & Resilience, you will play a key role in strengthening governance, oversight and reporting across Protective Security. Reporting to the Head of Business Continuity and Protective Security you will help ensure compliance, drive consistency, and support delivery of security initiatives across the organisation.

Location: This role will be based in either our Guildford or Bournemouth Allianz office, please note that this is a hybrid working role with the expectation that you attend the office 40% of your time.

Salary Information: Pay: Circa £55,000 per year (pro rata). This reflects your experience, skills and location and forms part of our wider total rewards package.

About You:

  • You will define, maintain and continuously enhance the Protective Security governance framework in line with Allianz corporate and functional rules.
  • You will coordinate Protective Security activity across key areas including Physical Security, Personnel Security, Executive Protection and Event Security.
  • You will review, challenge and track requirements, actions and initiatives through to completion.
  • You will maintain a forward plan of governance activities such as self-assessments, audits, committee reporting and remediation actions.
  • You will complete self-assessments and coordinate reviews, taking ownership of addressing any identified gaps or deficiencies.
  • You will prepare and quality-check reports, presentations and papers for governance forums and senior stakeholders.
  • You will provide status updates and maintain strong functional engagement with Group Protective Security and related functions (e.g. BCM, Emergency Response, Incident Management).
  • You will organise governance meetings, track actions, and ensure timely delivery of outcomes.
  • You will build and maintain effective working relationships across Protection & Resilience, the wider business and external partners.

Essential Skills:

  • You have a solid understanding of governance and control frameworks, ideally within financial services or insurance.
  • You demonstrate excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and build relationships.
  • You possess strong analytical, organisational and reporting skills.
  • You are confident using MS Office tools to support reporting and governance activity.
  • You can work both independently and collaboratively, managing multiple priorities and delivering to deadlines.

Desirable Skills:

  • Experience working within Protective Security or a related discipline.
  • Understanding of regulatory, audit or assurance processes.
  • Exposure to enterprise risk or resilience frameworks.
  • Responsible Artificial Intelligence usage.
