Role DescriptionAs Product Owner you will lead the strategic development and delivery of emerging AEIS digital tools, shaping innovative solutions that deliver exceptional value for both internal and external stakeholders. This is a unique opportunity to influence digital strategy and drive transformative change.Location: This role is based in our Guildford, Milton Keynes or Birmingham office, please note that this is a hybrid working role with the expectation that office is attended twice a week.Salary InformationPay: Circa 55,000 per yearPay is based on relevant experience, skills for the role, and location. Salary is only one part of our total reward package.About YouYour role will vary day to day, but here is a bit of what you can expect:Assist in developing and communicating a compelling product vision, strategy, and roadmap aligned to user needs, business objectives, and market trendsIdentify, pilot, and scale innovative solutions to meet evolving business and customer needsAct as the voice of the customer to own and prioritise BAU product backlogs for AEIS core systems (e.g, Microsoft D365, Totalmobile) ensuring changes deliver measurable business valueTake ownership of decisions within your team, enabling rapid, value-driven outcomesWork closely with business stakeholders, SMEs, Scrum Masters and IT teams to understand operational pain points and translate them into clear delivery prioritiesManage incidents, system issues and change requests through to resolution, balancing urgent operational needs with longer-term strategic improvementsSupport roadmap planning for AEIS BAU and transformation activity, helping sequence delivery in line with business readiness, technical dependencies and customer impactLead Agile planning activities including quarterly planning, backlog refinement, and release sequencingEscalate risks, issues, and blockers and proactively drive resolutionAct as a key point of contact between operational teams and delivery teams, providing clarity on requirements, priorities, risks and expected outcomesUse knowledge of AEIS processes and systems to identify opportunities for efficiency, compliance, productivity and customer service improvementsApprove completed work, ensuring it meets acceptance criteria and aligns with the product visionOwn the Support Desk service, supporting approximately 750 Engineer Surveyors with mobile technology, tablets, phones, and operational applicationsEssential SkillsProven experience working within Agile environmentsExcellent understanding of Agile methodologies such as Scrum and KanbanExperience delivering technology-driven change with a customer-first, data-led approachStrong stakeholder management with the ability to influence and build trusted relationshipsExperience managing complex backlogs across multiple products or customer journeysDemonstrated leadership and decision-making capability within cross-functional teamsExcellent communication skills, able to clearly articulate vision and prioritiesExcellent technical understanding of system applications and business processesExperience within insurance, financial services, or other highly regulated industriesAbility to work independently and solve complex problems with minimal guidanceDesirable SkillsDegree educated (2:1 or higher) or equivalent professional experienceACII qualified or working towards qualificationAgile / Product Owner certificationExperience mentoring or coaching Product Owners or Agile delivery teamsStrong understanding of data-driven product developmentResponsible Artificial Intelligence usageWhat We Will Offer YouRecognised and rewarded for a job well done, we have a range of flexible benefits for you to choose from- so you can pick a package that’s perfect for you.
