Role Description The purpose of this role is to take on the responsibility for developing the AZUK Mid Market Multinational capability across all business lines to support the growth ambitions through the delivery of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). This will include product development, the monitoring of account performance, control of underwriting standards, business development activity, dealing with complex referrals, collaboration across key stakeholders and ensuring that business written is done so in a technically excellent manner, adhering to underwriting authority and standards. This role will play a pivotal part in the strategic development of the Mid Market Multinational proposition, supporting the ongoing development of the operating model and creating a proposition seen as best in the market. You\’ll participate in the Global P&C Academy accreditation, enhancing your skills in underwriting, risk engineering, pricing, and claims management while exchanging best practices across the Allianz Group. Furthermore, for pricing-based roles, Allianz Insurance offers a generous study package to enable the actuarial qualification to be obtained through the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries in the UK. Salary Information Pay: Circa £80,000 per year. Pay is based on relevant experience, skills for the role, and location. Salary is only one part of our total reward package. About You As the Multinational Underwriting Account Manager you will be responsible for: Driving the creation and innovation of new Multinational profitable growth areas in the Mid Market product lines Holding Multinational underwriting authority for P&C Supporting the MN CofE/Trading Team where necessary for \’four eyes\’ sign off Supporting setting and implementing local strategy for multinational business across all lines of business Oversight of the cross-functional activities within Allianz UK to ensure effective support of the multinational account development from the Operations, Distribution, Claims and Technical business functions Supporting the promotion of Allianz Multinational capabilities and products across the LOB in the UK market – in conjunction with the Regional and Distribution teams Playing a significant role in the development of the Multinational capabilities through the \’Transformation\’ programme Owning and developing the key relationships within AGC&S, Global Commercial and the OE networks Liaison across the account teams, TSS, Actuarial, Pricing, Portfolio Steering, Geospatial, Claims, Risk and Compliance, Regions and Senior Leadership Essential Skills To be successful in this role you will have/be: An in-depth understanding of the make-up of policy wordings, clauses and non-standard covers available and their implications with an ability to convey that understanding. Able to identify cover and hazards influencing the acceptance, pricing or terms applicable to a risk and apply risk management techniques and appropriate underwriting rules to ensure sufficient breadth of risks is available to the Company. An ability to leading projects across multiple functions Understanding of the skills and tools required for effective Underwriting and has the ability to use these key skills to underwrite risks profitably with a particular focus on natural hazards. Understands causes and costs of claims and can apply appropriate risk management tools to mitigate loss. In-depth understanding of relevant legislation and its application by Line of Business. Experience of working within a general insurer environment with responsibility for top and bottom line performance of a portfolio or suite of portfolios.
