Role Description

Progress your engineering career in one of the key roles within Allianz Engineering, Construction, & Power. Our Engineer Surveyors are at the forefront of our business, visiting client sites to carry out inspections and assess a wide range of plant and equipment. As a newly recruited Engineer Surveyor at Allianz Engineering, Construction & Power, you will be enrolled onto our induction training programme. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced engineer with good knowledge of Pressure, Pressed Air & Steam equipment to join Allianz Engineering, a division of one of the largest insurers and financial services companies in the world.

As an Engineer Surveyor, you will carry out inspections of plant and equipment in various locations such as factories, warehouses, and other commercial premises. You will work closely with your team and prepare electronic reports of examinations following inspections to ensure fast and efficient delivery to clients. You will assess equipment including pressure vessels and boilers, anticipate problems, and help clients comply with legislation.

About You

  • Up to date with relevant compliance and regulatory rules related to Pressure Mechanical discipline.
  • Ability to make well-informed decisions and take responsibility.
  • Effective at short, medium, and long-term planning.
  • Ability to travel within your local work area.
  • Processing documentation and undertaking general administration promptly.
  • Willing to support and deputise for fellow Engineer Surveyors.

Skills & Experience:

  • Passionate about engineering, self-driven, with strong client interaction skills.
  • Experience with steam generation, pressed air, and related plant, ideally with manufacturing, maintenance, operation, repair, and site inspection.
  • Good oral and written communication skills.
  • Incorporated Engineer (desirable).
  • Valid UK driving licence.
  • Effective time management skills.
  • Comfortable using tablets and smartphones as part of daily work.

Qualification requirements:

Minimum Level 3 qualification in relevant engineering subject, ideally Mechanical Engineering, or working towards it.
