Role Description Salary circa £58k – London office (hybrid 3-4 days a week in office)

The main purpose of the role is to provide assistance to the Commercial Managing Director with the delivery of their business objectives. As Executive Assistant in the Commercial MD office you will be working closely with the Commercial Leadership team while collaborating with colleagues across the wider business towards the delivery of projects, actions and various ad-hoc tasks. You will be responsible for the creation of numerous board reports, presentations and the organisation of commercial governance and will have exposure to key strategic discussions and decisions which will provide you with an in-depth insight into the business. You will be required to work and collaborate with Senior Stakeholders across the company to produce the best outcome for the business. You will report to the Commercial Business Manager (matrix).

Key responsibilities include:

  • Preparation, participation and follow-up of meetings, including minute taking.
  • Tracking actions, deadlines and paper requirements across various committees while ensuring appropriate time planned for paper review with all actions updated & closed within agreed timescales.
  • Draft, review, and edit board papers, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and alignment with organisational strategy. Collaborate with senior executives to gather inputs, align messaging, and ensure the board materials address critical priorities.
  • Preparation and follow-up of important presentations, business visits and Townhalls and events for the MD, including branch visits.
  • Managing and handling daily tasks for the MD.

About You Skills and Experience:

  • Exceptional organisational skills to ensure that work is prioritised appropriately, maintain a high level of accuracy, deadlines are met, and key stakeholders kept updated (Project Management Skills).
  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills, particularly PowerPoint and Excel.
  • Insurance know-how and understanding of insurance financial statements and related key performance indicators, key financial ratios and business drivers.
  • Previous experience in insurance or roles with corporate governance experience would be advantageous.
  • Report preparation & delivering presentations.

Qualification requirements:

  • ACII qualification advantageous, but not mandatory.
