Allianz Engineering Inspection Services is looking for a skilled and motivated Engineer Surveyor specialising in Electrical & Local Exhaust Ventilation (LEV) to join our growing team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a global, trusted insurer while playing a vital role in keeping people, businesses, and equipment safe. You’ll operate with a high degree of autonomy, managing your own schedule while delivering excellent customer service to a diverse client base.

Role Description

  • Inspecting, testing, and reporting on a wide range of electrical systems and LEV equipment, ensuring compliance with statutory regulations and industry best practices.
  • Carry out inspections of electrical plant and LEV systems in accordance with relevant legislation and standards.
  • Carry out the Periodic Inspection & Test and complete the EICR for all types of Industrial & Commercial installations such as Offices, Factories, Quarries and their associated Electrical apparatus.
  • Examine LEV plant including air movers (fans), ducting, hoods, and filtration systems to control fumes, dust and mists created by both industrial and commercial processes.
  • Produce clear, accurate reports and certification.
  • Identify defects and provide practical, safety driven recommendations.
  • Build strong relationships with customers, offering technical guidance and support.
  • Ensure all activities meet Allianz quality, safety, and compliance standards.

Salary Information

Pay: Starting salary £45,539 per year. + Company car. Pay is based on relevant experience, skills for the role, and location. Salary is only one part of our total reward package.

About You

  • Up to date on your knowledge and understanding of all relevant Compliance and Regulatory rules and procedures that relate to the Electrical / LEV discipline.
  • Effective at short, medium and long-term planning, in order to diarise meetings, visits and work allocation.
  • Able to travel effectively within their local allocated work area.
  • Able to process documentation, as well as undertaking general administration.
  • A good team player, for example deputising for fellow Engineer Surveyors (of own discipline) as and when required.

Essential Skills

  • Practical background in low voltage wiring installation, inspection or maintenance and fault finding.
  • Successful candidates are required to hold a minimum qualification of NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Engineering and holds a BS7671:2018 (18th Edition), C&G2391 Inspection & Testing or equivalent.
  • Awareness of Local Exhaust Ventilation Systems and an understanding of the COSHH Regulations.
  • UK Driver’s License.
  • Aptitude and understanding of the need for planning and an ability to prioritise your own workload.
  • Strong customer interaction skills are essential, including good oral and written communication skills.
