We're looking for an experienced Senior Motor Trade Underwriter to join our National Centre of Excellence. You'll take ownership of complex, high‐value new business, build strong broker relationships, and help drive profitable growth. This is a pivotal role within Allianz UK's ambition to become the UK's number one commercial insurer, offering real influence, visibility, and impact in a fast‐growing, market‐leading team. You'll participate in the Allianz Global P&C Academy, enhancing your skills in underwriting, risk engineering, pricing, and claims management while exchanging best practices across the Allianz Group. Allianz Insurance supports professional qualifications, such as IFoA and CII, where considered appropriate for business and individuals. This is a hybrid role will involve working from home combined with a minimum of 2-3 days per week in one of our offices in Glasgow, Birmingham, Manchester, Leeds, Chelmsford, Bristol or Southampton. Proven experience underwriting Motor Trade commercial insurance. Strong technical underwriting and risk assessment capability, including complex or non-standard risks. Good understanding of the UK general insurance market. Responsible use of digital or AI-enabled underwriting tools to enhance service and decision-making.
