Overview

As Retail Motor Technical Pricing Manager, you will lead a team of six to maintain and advance pricing models for Direct Motor, using GBM and GLM methods. You will collaborate with data and pricing teams to ensure high-quality data and model performance, while delivering regular model refreshes and exploring advanced techniques. This role supports a large motor portfolio and contributes to global pricing excellence. You’ll drive impact by shaping pricing strategy and processes in a hybrid, multinational environment.

Responsibilities

  • Lead development, maintenance and monitoring of technical pricing models for Direct Motor
  • Manage a team of six FTE and align priorities with business goals
  • Leverage migrated data assets and coordinate with central data team for data quality
  • Deliver regular GBM and GLM model refreshes and explore advanced modelling techniques
  • Collaborate with Data Science and global pricing teams; drive R&D phases to improve processes and features
  • Share expertise and learnings with pricing colleagues across the group and center of pricing excellence

Key requirements

  • Strong background in volume-lines technical pricing with ML (GBM) and GLMs
  • Commercially minded with experience in UK motor insurance (preferred)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; able to inspire and manage stakeholders
  • Project management/steering experience (preferred)
