We are looking for an Audit Manager in Delegated Underwriting Governance based in London.
Your Team
You will be part of a team that designs and oversees the governance of delegated underwriting authorities agreements, working closely with Claims Strategic Partnership Management, UWIS and the global and regional Portfolio Solutions teams, focusing on governance frameworks, process improvement, and proactive engagement with technical underwriting and operational aspects.
The Impact You Will Have
In this role, you will support the Head of Governance Delegated Authority Business in the governance and oversight of audit of Facility Partner business, written across all divisions. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring compliance, efficiency, and strategic alignment with the AGCS Delegated Underwriting Authority Functional Rule across all delegated underwriting authority activities. Your contributions will directly impact the quality, consistency, and performance of delegated underwriting operations, as well as the effectiveness of audit and governance processes.
Some of your specific responsibilities could include:
- Manage the maintenance of departmental procedures for DUA review and audit, ensuring they are all fit for purpose, add value, and align with organizational strategy.
- Contribute to the ongoing development of all procedures within the Delegated Underwriting Authority environment.
- Develop and implement best practices to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of Delegated Underwriting Authority audit and governance processes.
- Responsibility to recognise and maintain relationships with stakeholders and support functions across all divisions.
- Manage the business reviews, UWFs by the Allianz Commercial underwriting staff and audits undertaken by external companies.
- Ensure the following elements of the process are performed satisfactorily and entered into OneView: appointing, quoting, tracking, analysing, output of issues, insight, registering, payment of fees.
- Analyse the reviews and audit reports received and identify all potential issues.
- Consider the issues against the Allianz Commercial Risk Management Strategy and communicate them along with appropriate action plans to the underwriting portfolios.
- Ensure realistic timeframes are set for the resolution of all action plans and monitor performance against them.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory requirements and internal Delegated Underwriting Authority governance standards.
- Work with the team to provide training and support to LOB Underwriters and stakeholders to enhance understanding of DUA processes and audit requirements.
- Appropriate understanding of general processes and policy embedded across Allianz Commercial.
What You'll Bring to the Role
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a Delegated Underwriting Authority (DUA) team or a related field, with substantial exposure to governance and audit processes.
- Experience in dealing with outsourced auditors is beneficial.
- Strong technical skills in DUA.
- Familiar with Lloyd's systems, particularly DAM (Delegated Authority Manager).
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Access, including pivot tables and v-lookups.
- Experience using OneView is beneficial.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail and the ability to interpret complex data.
- Enjoys forensic work, analyzing clauses, investigating to understand underlying issues and reasons.
- Confident, with clear and effective communication skills that are necessary to convey findings and action plans to stakeholders and team members.
- Experience in quality assurance, assessing strengths and weaknesses, and performing oversight tasks.
- Ability to develop and implement best practices to enhance audit and governance processes.
- While previous audit experience is preferred, a strong understanding of Delegated Authority processes is crucial.
- Ability to manage business reviews and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal governance standards.
- Ability to build and maintain strong working relationships across the business, recognizing and maintaining connections with stakeholders and support functions across all divisions.
- Capable of providing training and support to team members and stakeholders to enhance understanding of DUA processes and audit requirements.
- Fluent English skills are required, with additional languages considered advantageous.
- Ability to integrate AI-driven insights into your work to optimize outcomes and support broader organizational goals.
- Excellent prioritization and time management skills, with the ability to work to tight deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
