Role Overview

Petplan is the UK's favourite pet insurer and part of Allianz Insurance plc.

At Petplan, we’re all about pets.

Big or small, young or old – we know you want the best for them.

The health of animals and the joy they bring to their owners has always been at the heart of what we do.

In fact, it is the reason we exist.

Many of our staff are pet owners too so we understand what a worrying time it is if your animal is ill or injured.

As a Territory Manager you will be responsible for delivering the commercial performance of vets and other agreed sales channels and maximising Petplan partner free cover and sales performance within Essex and East Anglia.

This is a home‑based role that requires remote partner management and face‑to‑face visits, with some national travelling including overnight stays.

We are seeking someone who is centrally located within the Essex and East Anglia region to effectively cover the territory and support regular travel across the region.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with agreed partners and key industry contacts to drive engagement, loyalty and performance; work effectively with existing and prospective partners to deliver on mutually beneficial business plans and targets.
  • Deliver engaging and motivating training programmes, face‑to‑face and remotely, to both small and large audiences.
  • Develop and execute your territory contact strategy and acquisition plans.
  • Attend agreed industry and key partner events to represent Petplan.

Qualifications & Experience

Essential Skills

  • A passion for pets, and experience or knowledge of the Animal Health industry.
  • Excellent communication skills, strong commercial acumen and a proven track record of achievement.
  • The ability to work effectively with business partners and contacts to develop and deliver on mutually beneficial business plans.
  • Previous experience as an innovator and problem‑solver, who can drive sales, exceed targets and grow profits by motivating and training partners and accounts.
  • Strong time‑management and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Full clean driving licence (we provide a company car).
  • Ability to use Microsoft Office applications.

Desirable Skills

  • Responsible Artificial Intelligence usage.
