Allianz has an ambition to expand its Multinational MidCorp offering to satisfy and support the increasing demand from the expanding international client base and their cross border needs. As a result of this, we’re seeking a Multinational Underwriter in Property and Casualty to join us on this journey. This role will play a key part in contributing to the continued development of our offering to our clients, including driving and building key relationships across our market as we look to satisfy our clients’ needs and grow the account, as well as supporting the delivery of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).

You’ll participate in the Allianz Global P&C Academy, enhancing your skills in underwriting, risk engineering, pricing, and claims management while exchanging best practices across the Allianz Group. Allianz Insurance supports professional qualifications, such as IFoA and CII, where considered appropriate for the business and the individual.

Our team values continuous learning; you can enjoy free access to top training platforms like DataCamp, Databricks Academy, and LinkedIn Learning. Additionally, we host Lunch and Learn sessions on key business topics hosted by experts across the team and monthly insight sessions, including the Data Science Forum and analyst forum, to refine your technical skills. This will be a hybrid position, based out of our London office (2-3 days per week).

Salary Information
Pay is based on relevant experience, skills for the role, and location. Salary is only one part of our total reward package.

About You

  • Focusing on winning and retaining business of a large and complex nature
  • Providing excellent service to our customers and developing business relationships with key clients
  • Building and developing successful relationships with brokers and end customers, being visible in the local market
  • Achieving agreed financial and operational performance targets
  • Providing support and guidance to colleagues on lower license levels, signing off referrals and working on quality assurance
  • Collaborating strongly with others and across departments to achieve the Company’s goals in respect of service delivery – a good team player

Essential Skills

  • Technical underwriting skills in commercial property and casualty lines
  • Experience of dealing with large and/or complex multinational risks
  • Capability of leveraging data and analytics
  • Excellent trading skills and a confident negotiator, with a strong ability to build, develop and maintain relationships, both internal and external
  • Full working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
