We have an excellent opportunity to join the Procurement team as a Sourcing Manager. The purpose of this role is to work at a strategic level with internal stakeholders and external vendors to optimise the value delivered from the company’s third‑party relationships for the supply of goods and services. Key measures are the achievement of cost optimisation, risk management and other sources of added value, with a specific emphasis on introducing and developing innovative solutions from the supply market.

The remit will include contributing to the delivery of the category strategy and driving strategic sourcing initiatives for the Property Claims category (Loss Adjusting, Surveying, Home Emergency, Alternate Accommodation, Drainage and other commodities) and working alongside the Senior Category Manager and a team of Sourcing Managers in executing the strategy through tendering, contract review processes and stakeholder partnership.

This role can be based in one of our offices in Guildford, Bournemouth, Bristol or Leeds. It is a hybrid role with an expectation of office attendance once per month, and may require occasional travel for stakeholder or supplier meetings.

Salary Information

Pay: Circa £55,000 per year. Pay is based on relevant experience, skills for the role, and location. Salary is only one part of our total reward package.

About You

  • Leads strategic Procurement initiatives and works in support of the organisation’s Procurement corporate plan and in alignment with Allianz Global Procurement’s global initiatives.
  • Contributes to the development and execution of the category strategy, ensuring collaboration with internal stakeholders and alignment with business objectives.
  • Develops robust, trusting and value‑add relationships with business stakeholders and suppliers, delivering business initiatives with best outcomes around value, customer outcomes, performance and risk management and innovation.
  • Drives supplier innovation through tendering and contracting practices, in collaboration with the SRM Team and proactive engagement with the marketplace.
  • Delivers cost optimisation and other value‑add benefits for the supply chain and customers.
  • Ensures key measures of success, savings targets and other KPIs are met and improved upon year on year.
  • Conducts all procurement activities in line with Allianz Group Sourcing Policy (AGSP) and related processes.
  • Identifies, assesses and mitigates risks within the supply chain to ensure continuity and compliance with Allianz Group standards, implementing strategies to proactively address potential disruptions.
  • Coordinates Procurement Due Diligence and Governance activity with Procurement Development & Analytics to ensure adherence, visibility and reporting.
  • Champions sustainability and ethical sourcing practices within procurement activities to align with Allianz’s corporate social responsibility initiatives.

Essential Skills

  • Must have claims procurement experience with property claims knowledge desirable, as the Sourcing Manager will need to lead on complex change initiatives within various sub‑commodities to deliver optimum customer and indemnity outcomes.
  • In‑depth knowledge of sourcing and procurement principles and best practices.
  • Experience with modern sourcing and procurement systems.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, business acumen and analytical skills, including data analysis and interpretation.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills: clear, confident communication style, ability to influence and build strong stakeholder/supplier relationships.
  • Strong time‑management skills, with a flexible and proactive mindset suited for a fast‑paced, rapidly changing environment.
  • Proven ability to drive innovation and continuous improvement in procurement processes and strategies.
