As Senior Project Manager in Central Functions, you’ll work collaboratively with other change professionals to realise business benefits through delivery of strategic projects in our portfolio, covering Finance, Legal, Risk, etc. This role will initially focus on supporting a major Transformation Programme within the Finance Portfolio – SimpliFi UK.
Key Accountabilities
- End-to-end delivery of multiple complex change projects, ensuring alignment with business goals.
- Defining and managing project plans, milestones, budgets, and resource needs using Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid methodologies.
- Engaging internal and external stakeholders, including managing third-party relationships and commercial terms.
- Driving urgency, pace, and clarity while maintaining strong communication and engagement across all stakeholder groups.
- Monitoring project benefits and ensuring alignment with strategic objectives throughout the lifecycle.
- Managing risks, issues, dependencies, and operational impacts to minimise disruption to business-as-usual.
- Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, supporting project closure, and contributing to continuous improvement in delivery practices.
Skills & Experience
- Experience in project and change delivery across varying project types and sizes using both Waterfall and Agile methodologies.
- Strong understanding of change management and implementation of people, process and systems change.
- Forward-thinking with planning, forecasting and proactive risk management.
- Demonstrable problem-solving skills and capability to remove impediments.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management, able to influence at all levels.
- Growth mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.
- Budget management including forecasting and estimating.
- Experience managing suppliers.
- Understanding of IT systems development lifecycle.
- Project, Agile or Change management qualifications a plus but not essential.
- Experience in the insurance/financial services sector beneficial.
- Experience in a Finance Portfolio, knowledge of finance systems and processes desirable.
- Knowledge of ERP systems such as SAP desirable.
- Leadership, coaching and mentoring experience.
Salary Information
Pay: Circa £70,000 (based on experience, skills and location). Salary is only one part of our total reward package.
