We have an exciting opportunity for a Sales Development Representative (SDR) to join our Special Services team within Allianz Engineering Inspection Services (AEIS) on a 6 month fixed term contract. This is a key role at the top of our sales funnel, focused on identifying, engaging and qualifying potential customers who may require specialist engineering inspection and compliance services. As an SDR, you’ll play a vital part in opening new conversations, generating leads and creating high‑quality opportunities for our Technical Specialists and Sales team. This role is ideally suited to someone early in their sales career who is motivated, organised and confident speaking with customers by phone. You’ll be part of a supportive team with clear development and progression opportunities across AEIS and the wider Allianz business.
This role can be based in either our Manchester or Guildford Offices. It is a hybrid working role with an expectation of attending the office a minimum of two days per week.
Salary Information
Pay: Circa £30,000.00 per year (based on experience, skills and location). Salary is only one part of our total reward package.
About You
- Research target organisations and identify appropriate contacts across Engineering, Maintenance, Operations, Health & Safety, Facilities and Estates teams.
- Build a basic understanding of customer sites, plant and equipment to identify where AEIS services may add value.
- Conduct proactive outbound outreach via phone, email and LinkedIn to generate new conversations.
- Manage inbound enquiries from marketing activity, events and campaigns.
- Engage in regular, professional, and confident telephone conversations with customers.
- Qualify early‑stage leads by gathering key information including customer needs, equipment types, site footprint, urgency and decision‑making structure.
- Arrange discovery meetings for Account Executives or Sales Managers and ensure a clear handover.
- Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date activity records in Salesforce, including qualification notes and follow‑up actions.
- Introduce AEIS capabilities at a high level, including statutory engineering inspection services and specialist offerings such as COMAH support, NDT and Tagcheck.

- Understanding of engineering inspection, compliance services or regulated technical environments (desirable but not essential).
- Interest in progressing into Account Management, Sales Management or wider commercial roles.
- Understanding of Responsible AI principles.
