An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Principal Mid-Corp Pricing Analyst to join our Mid Corp team and contribute to our success by developing sophisticated pricing models and strategies. The Principal Mid-Corp Pricing Analyst will be responsible for developing and implementing pricing strategies that optimise market competitiveness and profitability. This role involves conducting comprehensive market analyses, evaluating pricing models, and collaborating with cross‑functional teams to ensure pricing aligns with business objectives and customer needs. This will be a hybrid position based out of our Guildford Office.

Responsibilities
- Carry out and support the team to deliver pricing analysis.
- Coordinate the delivery of technical projects to improve underwriting performance against common technical modelling standards and adherence to data controls.
- With your manager, define, set priority and report on status of project work and rate reviews/analysis to support product and pricing development.
- Oversight of pricing and underwriting monitors, ensuring key points are raised to the wider business.
- Support manager in Pricing meetings through presenting and contributing to outcomes.
- Project manage junior members of the Pricing team or coach them to develop their expertise/knowledge.
- Keep abreast of developments in the Company and wider UK insurance market.
- When required, to deputise for Senior Manager and contribute to pricing strategy.
- Undertake and support analysis to optimise our market pricing.
Essential Skills
- Understand key processes, procedures and targets and be able to communicate effectively with key stakeholders.
- Understand how own/team’s work contributes to business performance and customer outcomes.
- Have strong analytical and data interpretation skills with the ability to communicate findings to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Have full working knowledge of tools appropriate to lines of business worked on (e.g. MS Excel, VBA and SAS (Enterprise Guide and/or Base), Willis Towers Watson Emblem, Classifier and Radar, Micro‑strategy).

- Have experience in training and coaching junior team members in analysis and use of analysis software.
