Role Description

We have an exciting opportunity for an eTMO Analyst / PMO to join the Transformation team, supporting our enterprise portfolio. The role ensures clear standards are set and achieved, deliveries remain on track, and contributes to credibility and confidence in the overall UK Transformation Programme.

ETMO / PMO Analyst

The analyst provides delivery support in benefits and value management, financial management, and drives adherence with tools, processes, templates and guardrails to support change delivery. The role focuses on leveraging data analytics and AI to optimise the strategic portfolio management tool and deliver actionable insights.

The role is a hybrid position based in the London or Guildford office.

Responsibilities

  • Provide reporting and insight to stakeholders and governance forums such as Steering Committees, Quarterly Business Reviews, Change and Investment Committee, ExCo and Board.
  • Support development and adoption of the Change Delivery Framework.
  • Support cost and benefit management, working closely with Finance Business Partners to report on progress and variances to plan.
  • Ensure proportionate governance is in place to conduct and deliver portfolio initiatives successfully.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams, including business, IT and Change portfolios, to ensure alignment and successful implementation of process and tool enhancements.
  • Analyse datasets to generate actionable insights that support strategic decision‑making.
  • Drive continuous improvement and evolution of the strategic portfolio management tool, including AI‑driven solutions to enhance functionality and efficiency.
  • Drive a high‑performance culture and support engagement across the Change teams.

Essential Skills

  • Proficient in visualisation tools such as Power BI or similar platforms.
  • Experienced in Jira and Confluence; Planview experience is highly desirable.
  • Experience in change management skills such as governance, resourcing, planning and cost and benefit management.
  • Proficient communication skills and ability to effectively manage stakeholders.
  • Experience in Agile and Waterfall delivery practices.
  • Proficient in Office tools such as SharePoint and MS Office Suite, especially Excel for data analysis and manipulation.
  • Strong analytical and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work with diverse teams, including business, IT and Finance.
  • Proven experience in managing and collaborating with multiple stakeholders to align on priorities and deliver outcomes.
  • Strong ability to collate, interpret and communicate actionable data‑driven insights to support strategic decision‑making.
  • Experience working with portfolio management tools like Planview to support initiative tracking, budgeting and reporting.
  • Familiarity with managing or contributing to Agile projects or similar methodologies.
  • Experience working in high‑pressure, time‑bound environments.
  • Ability to lead and drive simplification and continuous improvement.
  • Proven knowledge of AI methodologies and frameworks through academic or professional experience.
  • Familiarity with insurance, financial services or strategic portfolio management tools.

Desirable Skills

  • Responsible Artificial Intelligence usage.
  • Professional qualification within portfolio management is preferred.
  • Prior experience in insurance, financial services or a related field.
