Role Description
You will join Protection & Resilience as a Business Continuity Officer, supporting the development and delivery of the Business Continuity Management (BCM) framework across Allianz UK.
Reporting to the Head of Business Continuity and Protective Security, you will help embed resilience best practice and strengthen the organisation’s ability to respond to disruption.
Location and Working
This role will be based in either our Guildford or Bournemouth Allianz office. It is a hybrid working role with the expectation that you attend the office 40% of your time.
Salary Information
Pay: Circa £38,000 per year. This reflects your experience, skills and location and forms part of our wider total rewards package.
About You
- You will support and coordinate the Business Continuity Management lifecycle, ensuring BCM activities are delivered consistently across the organisation.
- You will contribute to maintaining the Operational Resilience framework, aligning with regulatory expectations and integrating with broader risk management activities.
- You will support the planning and facilitation of scenario‑based resilience exercises, testing response capabilities against severe but plausible events.
- You will maintain site‑specific Emergency Response Plans, ensuring they remain current, practical and effective.
- You will coordinate BCM maturity assessments and track actions to strengthen resilience capability over time.
- You will build strong relationships with stakeholders, promoting awareness and embedding good business continuity practices across the organisation.

- You demonstrate excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and build effective relationships.
- You have strong analytical skills and attention to detail, understanding wider business impacts and priorities.
- You can support awareness of resilience and continuity topics across diverse business areas.
- You are highly organised, able to prioritise workload, meet deadlines and adapt to changing requirements.
- You are confident supporting or facilitating workshops, meetings or discussions with groups.
- You are a strong team player, with a collaborative approach and willingness to learn.
- You can build credibility and communicate effectively with a wide range of audiences.
Desirable Skills
- You are self‑motivated, proactive and keen to develop within a resilience or business continuity role.
- You demonstrate a willingness to learn and build knowledge through professional development and experience.
