We are excited to offer an outstanding opportunity to join our dynamic Data Change team as a Business Analyst (Data). In this role, you will collaborate with Change experts who are trusted partners in driving our business toward achieving our strategic objectives. The purpose is to enable data‑focused change using specialised business analysis techniques and a disciplined business analysis approach. You will support the Master Data Management team to articulate the need for change, work closely with business stakeholders, architects and IT teams to understand requirements, gather data, conduct in‑depth analysis, and deliver change aligned with our data‑led strategy, contributing to the overall success of the team.
This role will be based in our Guildford office, with office attendance required twice a month.
Salary Information
Pay: Circa £56,000 per year. Pay is based on relevant experience, skills for the role, and location. Salary is only one part of our total reward package.
About You
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, IT teams and data specialists to elicit, analyse and document data‑related requirements that support strategic change initiatives.
- Conduct detailed data analysis to identify gaps, improve data quality and support Master Data Management processes across the organisation.
- Facilitate workshops and discussions to elicit, refine and agree business and data requirements, ensuring alignment and stakeholder consensus.
- Create and manage Epics and User Stories in tools such as Jira and Confluence, supporting Agile delivery and ensuring clarity for development teams.
- Translate complex data concepts into clear, understandable insights for a range of stakeholders, while supporting data governance, stewardship and compliance requirements.
Essential Skills
- Proven experience as a Business Analyst at Data Change within the Financial Services sector.
- Proficiency in mainstream data tools and a strong understanding of Data Governance, Data Quality, Data Stewardship and Master Data lifecycle management.
- General understanding of data modelling, data warehousing and data transformation processes.
- Familiarity with system integrations utilising APIs and Events.
- Expertise in eliciting and refining comprehensive requirements, achieving stakeholder consensus through techniques such as workshop facilitation.
- Experience in delivery within an Agile framework, showcasing an agile mindset and a flexible approach to meeting business priorities.
- Proficiency in creating Epics and User Stories using tools like Confluence and Jira.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence at all levels.
- Ability to communicate complex data concepts effectively to individuals at all levels of understanding.
- Confident in utilising AI tools, such as Claude & Copilot to enhance productivity while maintaining quality.
