Our Engineer Surveyors are at the forefront of our business, visiting client sites to carry out inspections and assess a wide range of plant, equipment, and installations. As a newly recruited Engineer Surveyor, you would automatically be enrolled onto our unrivalled induction training programme. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced engineer with a good knowledge of the Lift and Crane discipline to join Allianz Engineering, a division of one of the largest insurers and financial services companies in the world.

Responsibilities

  • You will anticipate our client needs and help them ensure compliance with relevant legislation.
  • You will work closely with your Engineer Surveyor Team managed by one of our Senior Operations Team Leaders.
  • You will prepare examination reports following inspections using electronic reporting for fast and efficient delivery to clients.
  • You will carry out hands-on inspections of lifts, material handling equipment, cranes, and construction plant.
  • The role can be physically demanding and may require working at height, in confined spaces, lifting, and climbing in hot and cold conditions, with exposure to noise and dust.

Qualifications

Essential Skills

  • NVQ Level 3 or above in a mechanical related subject.
  • Full valid UK driving licence.
  • Time management skills and ability to self-organise weekly work.
  • Comfortable using tablets and smartphones as part of the working day.

Desirable Skills

  • Incorporated Engineer (desirable).

As an Engineer Surveyor you will assess a wide range of installations and anticipate client needs to ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
