Newly recruited Engineer Surveyors are enrolled onto an induction training programme.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced engineer with knowledge of the Lift and Crane discipline to join Allianz Engineering, a division of a large insurer and financial services company.
Responsibilities- Anticipate client needs and help ensure compliance with relevant legislation.
- Work closely with your Engineer Surveyor Team managed by a Senior Operations Team Leader.
- Prepare examination reports following inspections using electronic reporting to ensure fast and efficient delivery to clients.
- Carry out hands-on inspections of plant and equipment such as lifts, material handling equipment, cranes, and construction plant.
- Operate in an environment that may be physically demanding, with potential work at height, in confined spaces, lifting, and climbing in various conditions; exposure to noise and dust.
Pay: Circa £54,891 per year (including London Allowance) + Company Car. Salary is based on relevant experience, skills, and location. Salary is part of a total reward package.
About YouAs an Engineer Surveyor you will assess a wide range of installations and help clients comply with relevant legislation.
- Up to date knowledge of compliance and regulatory rules for the Lift and Crane discipline.
- Strong decision-making and accountability; effective short, medium, and long-term planning.
- Ability to travel within your local allocated work area.
- Efficient documentation processing and general administration.
- Willingness to support and deputise for fellow Engineer Surveyors as required.
- Passion for engineering, self-driven, and able to interact with a variety of clients daily.
- Background with lifts, cranes, materials handling equipment; hands-on experience in manufacturing, repair, or maintenance roles.
- Strong customer interaction skills, including excellent oral and written communication.
- NVQ Level 3 or above in a mechanical-related subject.
- Full valid UK driving licence.
- Time management skills and ability to self-organise work week.
- Proficiency with tablets and smartphones as essential tools for the role.
- Incorporated Engineer (desirable).
