Allianz Engineering Inspection Services is looking for a skilled and motivated Engineer Surveyor specialising in Electrical & Local Exhaust Ventilation (LEV) to join our growing team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a global, trusted insurer while playing a vital role in keeping people, businesses, and equipment safe. You’ll operate with a high degree of autonomy, managing your own schedule while delivering excellent customer service to a diverse client base.
Role Description
- Carry out inspections of electrical plant and LEV systems in accordance with relevant legislation and standards.
- Carry out the Periodic Inspection & Test and complete the EICR for all types of Industrial & Commercial installations such as offices, factories, quarries and their associated electrical apparatus.
- Examine LEV plant including air movers (fans), ducting, hoods, and filtration systems to control fumes, dust and mists created by both industrial and commercial processes.
- Produce clear, accurate reports and certification.
- Identify defects and provide practical, safety driven recommendations.
- Build strong relationships with customers, offering technical guidance and support.
- Ensure all activities meet Allianz quality, safety, and compliance standards.
Salary Information
Pay: Circa £45,539 per year + Company car. Pay is based on relevant experience, skills for the role, and location. Salary is only one part of our total reward package.
About You
- Up to date knowledge and understanding of all relevant Compliance and Regulatory rules and procedures that relate to the Electrical / LEV discipline.
- Effective at short, medium and long‑term planning, in order to diarise meetings, visits and work allocation.
- Able to travel effectively within their local allocated work area.
- Able to process documentation and undertake general administration.
- A good team player, for example deputising for fellow Engineer Surveyors (of own discipline) as and when required.
Essential Skills
- Practical background in low voltage wiring installation, inspection or maintenance and fault finding (factories, houses, shops etc.).
- Hold a minimum qualification of NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Engineering and hold a BS7671:2018 (18th Edition), C&G2391 Inspection & Testing or equivalent.
- Aware of Local Exhaust Ventilation Systems and the COSHH Regulations.
- UK Driver’s License.
- Aptitude and understanding of the need for planning and an ability to prioritise own workload.
- Strong customer interaction skills, including good oral and written communication.
