We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to contribute to the success of the Allianz Trade Commercial Department with a key focus on Business Fraud, while supporting the team in growing the Fraud and Crime Insurance Portfolio. The role also involves driving Allianz Trade's multiline and cross‑sell approach across Grade Check, Mid‑Term/Specialty, and Excess of Loss. This dynamic position combines Fraud underwriting expertise with the responsibility of driving and monitoring cross‑sell initiatives to achieve Fraud and Cross‑Sell targets.
This role reports to the Lead Fraud Underwriter, with oversight from the Commercial Director regarding broader Cross‑Sell objectives.
Main Tasks- Contribute to the strategic growth and achievement of new business targets for the UK & IE Fraud insurance team through various distribution channels.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with General and Specialist insurance brokers across the UK and Ireland.
- Conduct sales prospecting, including research and lead development across all customer segments.
- Perform Know‑Your‑Customer (KYC) and other compliance due diligence checks for new policies and renewals within the Fraud business.
- Represent Allianz Trade at relevant conferences and exhibitions, promoting the Business Fraud product to key stakeholders.
- Collaborate with other lines of business to identify cross‑sell opportunities for Fraud and other products.
- Monitor and report on cross‑sell activities across the commercial function, identifying opportunities for growth.
- Drive a cross‑sell mentality and lead change management initiatives across various functions.
- Review cross‑sell processes and support teams in creating Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for products where required.
- Develop and implement training plans for distribution colleagues on topics such as Trade Credit Insurance (TCI), Fraud, Grade Check, and Mid‑Term products.
- Support bi‑annual training plans for broker partners, particularly for new starters.
- Create market strategies for cross‑sell products and services in collaboration with marketing and distribution teams.
- Drive growth initiatives using methodologies such as reporting, follow‑up, and training to maximize sales across the department for various lines of business.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from a reputable university in any field.
- Minimum of 2‑3 years of experience in the insurance industry, ideally in a client‑facing role.
- Strong report writing, communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills.
- Advanced computing skills, particularly in Excel, PowerPoint, and OneNote.
- Familiarity with CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce) or equivalent platforms.
- Strong sales and negotiation skills.
