We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Actuary to join our dynamic pricing team in Europe. The position is part of an international team responsible for markets in Europe, with a strong focus on the UK market. This is an exciting opportunity to lead pricing strategies, influence decision-making, and contribute to the ongoing success of our organization.
As a Senior Actuary, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative solutions, ensuring the organization remains competitive in the market.
What you do- Lead the development and refinement of pricing models, ensuring alignment with business objectives and regulatory requirements.
- Identify market trends and recommend adjustments to pricing strategies to optimize profitability and competitiveness.
- Utilize advanced actuarial techniques and predictive analytics to assess risk and model pricing scenarios.
- Collaborate with data scientists within the team to enhance pricing accuracy through machine learning and other innovative methodologies.
- Communicate pricing insights and recommendations to senior management, underwriting teams, and other key stakeholders.
- Act as a key advisor on pricing-related matters, supporting decision-making at an executive level.
- Ensure all pricing practices comply with relevant regulatory and industry standards.
- Stay informed on changes to regulatory frameworks and assess their impact on pricing strategies.
- Mentor and develop junior actuaries within the team, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.

- Conduct regular reviews of pricing models to ensure they remain robust and fit for purpose.
- At least 5 years experience in a pricing-focused actuarial role, ideally within the insurance or reinsurance sector.
- Proven track record of delivering pricing strategies that drive business growth and profitability.
- Advanced proficiency in actuarial modeling software and tools (e.g., Emblem, Radar, Python, and equivalent).
- Strong understanding of statistical and predictive modeling techniques.
- Knowledge of UK regulatory requirements and Solvency II.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate complex actuarial concepts for non-technical audiences.
- Strong leadership and team management abilities, with experience mentoring and developing junior professionals.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with a strategic and commercial outlook.
- Experience with pricing in a travel line of business.
- Familiarity with emerging technologies and their application in pricing (e.g., AI, machine learning).
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and changing environment.
- Preferred location is the UK but open to other EU countries.
