We are looking for a Junior Claims Adjuster for Natural Resources (Energy) & Construction (m/f/d), based in London.

The Impact You Will Have

Based in London and reporting to the Head of Property, Entertainment, Natural Resources and Construction Claims (UK), you will work on Natural Resources & Construction claims including Inherent Defects Insurance (IDI). You will drive excellence in the claims handling service provided to brokers, clients, and internal customers.

Some of your specific responsibilities could include:

1. Supporting team members and line manager in the effective management of claims and portfolios, including designated processes.
2. Resolving Natural Resources & Construction (“NR&C”) claims, ensuring cost-effective, service-oriented solutions – including IDI claims.
3. Processing standard indemnity and expense payments.
4. Inputting and maintaining accurate claims records (e.g. notes, reserves, payments).
5. Producing management information reports (e.g. monthly major claims movements).
6. Preparing referral documentation and materials as appropriate.
7. Reporting loss information internally and externally.
8. Working with other functional areas in the Claims handling process.
9. Actively reviewing claims account queries (reinsurance etc.) and supporting claims team, accounts, and wider functions to reconcile.

What You’ll Bring to the Role

• Previous experience in the field of NR&C claims.
• Keen to learn from the technical experts within the team and progress a career in complex claims handling.
• Basic understanding of NR&C Insurance, reserving principles, coinsurance, and reinsurance.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office, and accustomed to learning new systems.
• Able to use data to provide meaningful analytics.
• Excellent communication skills, able to create and maintain solid relationships at every level within the organization.
• Ideally a professional insurance qualification.
