The Role
Purpose of the role is to proactively manage the independent recovery network in a defined region, ensuring that we provide a professional, high quality & cost effective service to our clients.
What You Will Do
- To visit agents, dealers and suppliers, as required, to review issues arising from procedural lapses and training issues.
- To identify areas within the region which do not have suitable coverage and liaise with the Regional Manager to appoint/terminate service providers when and where necessary, in order to maintain the high level of quality within your region.
- To ensure that all new service providers fully meet the Company’s contractual requirements in terms of compliance equipment, insurance, appearance and professional competence prior to being added to the network.
- To update and maintain all network related activity on the Assistance IT platform and other associated IT solutions.
- To analyse your network suppliers KPIs, identify poor performance and provide individual suppliers with a performance improvement plan where needed.
- To participate in the Mystery Shop Programme.
- To organise and participate in Network Training days.
- To organise and participate in trade shows.
- To develop relationships with key motor manufacturer dealers in a defined region as determined by the Regional Manager.
- To manage other providers of assistance services as determined by the Regional Manager.
- To ensure that any complaints received relating to a recovery are investigated promptly and the findings documented and communicated to the CS department and any other relevant department.
- To inspect vehicles, as required, to determine the extent of damage and potential liability.
- To advise vehicle recovery operators on any aspects of the recovery operation when requested to do so.
- To make recommendations and implement changes as required to ensure that we continue to resolve the root cause of issues.
- To support the operations team with training and technical information.
- To resolve complaints in an impartial and diplomatic way and in keeping with the expectations of Allianz Partners and our clients.

What You Will Bring
- Educated to GCSE level or equivalent, including Maths and English.
- City & Guilds/BTEC in Motor Vehicle Engineering, NVQ in Automotive Studies, or equivalent.
- Proven managerial background in an operational environment (field or office-based).
- Contract management skills.
- Knowledge of UK Recovery Network operational processes, systems, and industry legislation.
- Proficiency in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Experience in working with and managing relationships and performance of TPAs.
- Good working knowledge of the UK recovery industry.
- Experience with LGV.
- Full, clean, and current driving license.
- Ability to lift and carry equipment used in the recovery industry.
- Willingness to travel extensively and periodically stay overnight away from home.
Hours
Field based, 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Due to the nature of this position, hours may vary in line with business needs. The nature of the role means that there is a substantial amount of travel and a requirement to periodically stay away from home overnight.
