About The Role

The main purpose of this role is ultimately to ensure that the company wins and effectively implements profitable commercial deals, by delivering top‑notch responses to tenders that exceed the expectations of prospective clients, and by ensuring strict project‑management discipline when onboarding clients. This requires excellent coordination of multiple stakeholders, mastery of our products and value proposition across business lines, and an understanding of our operational and digital capabilities. The role works closely with the sales team to identify and convert new profitable revenue opportunities, while developing working practices and processes to maximise and improve profitability, efficiency, quality and productivity across our existing deal portfolio. Responsibility spans the entire suite of assistance, mobility and travel lines of business.

What You Will Do

  • Co‑ordinate and manage the response to new deal opportunities, engaging with stakeholders across multiple functions to develop compelling, workable solutions for partners and their customers.
  • Manage the deal sign‑off process, ensuring commercial terms released to partners receive all proper approvals.
  • Project‑manage the local implementation of successful new business wins (non‑IT related).
  • Maintain close collaboration with GSP and GCS global sales teams to identify opportunities with a UK & Ireland footprint, and coordinate inputs required from local teams.
  • Leverage Allianz Partners’ global capability to design and deliver best‑in‑class solutions for clients across core markets of assistance, mobility and travel.
  • Liaise with all areas of the business to maintain good relationships and to exchange key information and best practice.
  • Represent the UK and Ireland BU at relevant group meetings and seminars as deemed appropriate.
  • Attend client meetings and tender pitches to present and discuss proposed solutions.
  • Engage with Allianz Partners’ outsource agencies as required.
  • Maintain awareness of key industry developments and trends, incorporating them into solution design in cooperation with Product and Innovation teams.
  • Gather detailed feedback on unsuccessful bids and share with wider teams to improve future activities.

You Will Also Be Responsible For The Following

  • Quality Management System – follow documented quality procedures and instructions.
  • Training – advise Line Manager of any additional training required.
  • Key Performance Areas – achieve 100% on all company, departmental, team and individual targets.
  • Appraisals – participate in annual appraisals and regular one‑to‑one assessments.
  • General – manage or assist with relevant ad‑hoc projects; complete appropriate administration; carry out any other duties requested by the Line Manager.
  • Regulatory – comply with all relevant regulations and legislation, including Central Bank requirements.
  • Health & Safety – keep the work area safe and tidy, abide by regulations, and notify the Health & Safety officer of any issues.

Education and Experience

  • Degree level qualification, ideally in Business, Marketing, Communications or Finance.
  • Strong sales and distribution experience.
  • Proven project‑management experience; Project Management certification desirable.
  • Experience working in a complex organisation or matrix structure.
  • Experience in B2B and/or B2B2C channels within the insurance or assistance industry.
  • Experience managing complex change programmes in a regulated general insurance environment.
  • Knowledge of travel insurance and/or assistance desirable.

Skills And Knowledge

  • Strong working knowledge across multiple parts of the insurance value chain (product, underwriting, pricing, sales, operations).
  • Well versed in commercial negotiation.
  • Highly commercial and comfortable with complex financial analysis.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet strict deadlines.
  • Confident communicator with strong interpersonal skills, able to deliver professional presentations to executive level stakeholders.
  • Effective teamwork and credibility building across departments.
  • Highly organised with good administration skills and analytical support for decision‑making.
  • Advanced PC skills – PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Outlook.
